Why do you always ask for volunteers? - The Daniel DiMattia Recreation Center is a private club. We ask you to volunteer your time to control costs. The membership fee that you pay goes to the running of the pool. When there are extra things that the pool needs money can be tight. In order for the membership fees not to increase astronomically we ask you to volunteer. This does not mean you have to be there all the time. If we had 1 member from each family help out once a month the work would go faster & cost can be kept to a minimum. Please see the calendar for volunteering opportunities.

Why is there a deposit to rent the pool? - We ask that all members who rent the pool clean up the tent & surrounding area before leaving. We do not cash the deposit check unless we are told by the manager on duty that the pool was not clean up satisfactorily. If you are unsure of what that means just ask the manager on duty to check the area before you leave. This way you will be sure to get the deposit back.
If I am not a member can I rent the pool? - Yes, non-members can rent the pool if they are sponsored by a current member. When you rent the pool you must be present.
What is a family Supper? - Family supper was set up so that members of the pool could stay at the pool and eat supper. You may get to know new people. The kids love to stay. It is a giant picnic. The pool supplies hotdogs, hamburgers & drinks. We ask that you bring a dish to share with 12 people. Preferably not just a bag of chips. We will set up banquet tables & place all the food out. There also a small cost, either individual or family, that is communicated to the members when the supper is announced.
